IFAP was recently nominated for a Take Action Award through the King County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Each year, several individuals or groups are recognized for their efforts to end domestic violence in the community. This year, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project’s executive director, Jorge Baron, nominated IFAP for our commitment to ending domestic violence.
IFAP will accept the award at the Take Action Against Domestic Violence Awards Reception on October 27, 2011. The reception will be held at the Northwest African American Museum from 4:30-6:30 PM, and will feature a keynote speaker, hors d’oeuvre buffet, and awards presentation. We are honored to receive Mr. Baron’s nomination and look forward to celebrating the important work of the other nominees.
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to KCCADV by calling 206-568-5454 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited!
